NORFOLKLINE AGREES LANDMARK SHIPPING DEAL WITH NEDEXCO

Norfolkline, the fastest growing ferry operator across the channel and leading freight shipping company, today announces a new contract with Dutch transport and logistics company, Nedexco to be their main ferry provider for the next three years.

The landmark deal will see Norfolkline transport over 30,000 shipments per annum across the Channel between Dover and Dunkerque for the next three years, in a multi million pound deal.

Previously, Nedexco used Eurotunnel almost exclusively as their logistics provider, choosing to ship minimal volumes by sea.

The contract between Norfolkline and Nedexco was signed on Friday 20th February at the Port of Dunkerque, before Nedexco were taken on a tour of Norfolkline’s Maersk Delft vessel by Captain David Gouldsmith.

Wayne Bullen, Freight Sales Director, Norfolkline, comments: “This is a major contract for Norfolkline and we hope that it signals the start of a long and successful relationship with Nedexco. We have over 45 years experience in freight shipping and we are ideally placed to support Nedexco’s requirements and provide them with a reliable and quality service. We are very proud & excited about this opportunity.”

Franklin Schuurmans, Managing Director Nedexco comments: “We are constantly looking for potential partners and long term relationships who share our forward-thinking vision, and from the outset Norfolkline has been in total synergy with our business model and beliefs. We have worked closely to develop a mutually beneficial three year strategy for the partnership which takes into account current economic issues, plans and strategic objectives for the future, and we are very happy with the resulting contract and look forward to a long-standing and successful partnership.”
